A simple florist targeted by burglars
A freelance florist in a Wiltshire town has been robbed.
Sprout and Flower, in The Square, Mere, was forcibly broken into and had money stolen in the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday, September 23).
The police are calling for witnesses to contact them for any information.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: ‘We were called shortly after 8am yesterday morning to report a burglary at Sprout and Flower on The Square, Mere.
“It is reported that there were signs of a break-in, with money taken from the store.
“All witnesses are asked to contact us on 101 and quote log 43 of the date (September 23).”
The spokesperson added that the investigation is still in its early stages, but they are sure officers will keep an open mind and explore if there are any links to other similar incidents in the region.
The shop sells flowers, bouquets and has a café-bar offering cakes, slices and pastries.
