Buksa, Revs beat Orlando City 2-1, extend unbeaten streak

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – Adam Buksa scored in the ninth minute and Matt Turner saved a penalty in the 75th to help the New England Revolution beat Orlando City 2-1 on Saturday night.

Tajon Buchanan played a low entry that was deflected into the net by Orlando City’s Rodrigo Schlegel – who was battling for position with Buksa in net – for an own goal that gave New England a lead 2-1 at the 35th minute.

New England (19-4-5) are undefeated, with four wins, in their last five games. The Revolution has and 62 points at the head of the MLS; no other team entered on Saturday with over 46.

Orlando City (10-8-8) were outscored 10-3 in their three-game losing streak.

Buksa stole a long arched entry from Gustavo Bou, bouncing it off the floor and into the net to open the scoring. Daryl Dike detonated a right foot that pushed Turner’s outstretched hand to shoot Orlando City even 1-1 in the 18th minute.
