Traffic diversion tomorrow for vehicles going to Thane area from Navi Mumbai due to Ganpati submersion
There is a traffic diversion for vehicles heading to Thane from Navi Mumbai due to the Ganpati submersion on September 19. Navi Mumbai Traffic Police have announced alternative traffic routes for vehicles heading to Nasik and Ahmedabad.
Due to the rains in the Thane region, traffic has been disrupted and all types of vehicles are moving at low speed, creating traffic jams. For the convenience of the general public, Thane traffic police have banned the entry of heavy and very heavy vehicles during the Ganpati submersion from September 19. There will be no entry for heavy and very heavy vehicles from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on September 19 and from 2 p.m. on September 19 to 3 a.m. on September 20.
According to Navi Mumbai Traffic Police, all kinds of heavy and super heavy vehicles heading to Thane area including Kalyan, Ambernath and Bandlapur will have to take alternative routes. “There will be a traffic diversion from 5 am on September 19 to 2 am on September 20 for vehicles going to Thane from Navi Mumbai using the Airoli road on the Thane-Belapur road, the Kalamboli road from Panvel-Mumbra Sheel-Phata road, and Taloja MIDC Pipeline Road, ”said a traffic police official from Navi Mumbai.
Two alternative routes are available for vehicle traffic. Vehicles reusing the Amra Marg road and Airoli road from JNPT to go to Nasik and Ahmedabad via Thane can take the Nhava Sheva-Karal Phata road on the NH-4B to Plaspa Pahta and then take a turn towards Karjat-Murbad on the NH -4. Subsequently, vehicles can go as needed. Likewise, heavy to very heavy vehicles using the NH-66 and NH-4, can take the Karjar-Murbad road to a preferred destination.
